Bill Bryson was born and reared in Cannon County, Tennessee. His wife, Joan, retired from Friendship Christian School after teaching there for 27 years. They have two children, Matt, 34 and Marti, 32.
Bill is or has been involved in the following community service activities:
- Past SME Chairman for Boy Scouts of America.
- Serving on Board for Friendship Christian School
Bill and his family worship at Maple Hill Church of Christ.
Bill is a past member of the Nashville Chapter of Trust & Estate Planning Council and present member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He has served as Vice President, President and Chairman of the Board for the Financial Planning Association.
He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He earned his Certified Financial Planning (CFP ®) degree in 1990 followed by the Chartered Life Underwriter, and the Chartered Financial Consultant degree in 1994.
Bill came to Lebanon in 1971 as a football and basketball coach at Castle Heights Military Academy. In 1978 he became the football coach and Athletic Director at Friendship Christian School. It was in 1983 that he began his career in the Financial Services field. He serves as a Financial Consultant for Equitable Advisors.
Bill enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, reading and quail hunting and he and Joan’s first grandchild. Oh, did I mention I have a granddaughter!
